Season 2022/23

In the summer of 2022 I took a few painting lessons with the artist Michael Solovyev and was often in despair. I really wanted to paint the beautiful landscape that surrounds me, but it's harder than I thought. But over the time my paintings got better.

Im Sommer 2022 nahm ich einige Malstunden bei dem Künstler Michael Solovyev und war oft am verzweifeln. Ich wollte unbedingt die wunderschöne Landschaft um mich herum malen, aber das war viel schwieriger, als ich annahm. Doch mit der Zeit wurden meine Bilder besser und ansehnlicher.

Then I saw pictures of fog on Facebook. I was intrigued by it and tried it out. It's easier than the layperson would think and it's fun. So if I don't have anything specific in mind or it's foggy for days, then I paint fog pictures.

Dann sah ich auf Facebook Bilder mit Nebel. Ich war fasziniert davon und probierte es aus. Das ist leichter als der Laie annehmen möchte und es macht Spaß. Wenn ich also nichts bestimmtes im Sinn habe oder es mal wieder tagelang nebelig ist, dann male ich Nebelbilder.

It was already February or March when I noticed the pictures of Rae Andrews. I especially liked the rooster one. As it turned out, she was selling tutorial videos of various motives. I bought some and by this I became familiar with a technique that was completely new to me. These images impress with their color intensity. This occurs because the painting is done on dry paper. When painting landscapes and fog, we often paint wet on wet or wet on damp, then the colors fade. Not here and that was very helpful for me.

Es war bereits Februar oder März, als ich auf die Bilder von Rai Andrews stieß. Ich verliebte mich speziell in das mit dem Hahn. Es stellte sich heraus, dass man Lehrvideos für verschiedenen Motive kaufen konnte. Ich kaufte einige und so wurde ich mit einer mir völlig neuen Technik vertraut. Diese Bilder bestechen durch ihre Farbintensität. Das kommt daher, dass man auf trockenem Papier malt. Bei den Landschafts- oder Nebelbilder malt man meist auf nassen oder feuchtem Papier, die Farben verblassen dann beim trocknen. Nicht bei dieser Technik und das war sehr lehrreich für mich.

Again the idea came from Facebook. An artist painted houses in a very charming way. I liked it and tried it. Even though my houses bear little resemblance to my inspiration, I still enjoyed painting them. Above all, I designed the gardens according to my imagination and not how they actually look here.

Wieder kam die Idee von Facebook. Ein Künstler malte Häuser auf einer sehr charmanten Art und Weise. Mir gefiel das und ich versuchte mich darin. Wenn meine Häuschen auch nun wirklich kaum eine Ähnlichkeit mit meiner Inspiration haben, so machte es mir Spaß sie zu malen. Vor allem gestaltete ich die Gärten nach meiner Vorstellung und nicht wie sie in Wirklichkeit hier aussehen.
